How much you can get at SU depends on the type of education you are on, where you live, how old you are and when you started your education.<\/p>\n<p>You must apply for SU yourself. This applies to both scholarships and student loans, and you can apply to SU one month before the start of your studies at the earliest. The support is paid as a scholarship and can be supplemented with student loans. To receive SU, there are a number of <a title=\"SU conditions\" href=\"https:\/\/www.su.dk\/su\/su-betingelser\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">conditions<\/a> you must meet.<\/p>\n<p>To get SU, you must apply for it. You cannot apply for SU with retroactive effect, and you can only get SU from the month in which SAFD receives your application.<\/p>\n<p>You must apply for SU in minSU. At minSU you can follow your SU. You can see what information is registered about you, and you can follow the path of your application through the SU system. minSU contains three different functions: you can apply for SU, SU loans and more, you can see your current SU conditions and you can make corrections to your SU conditions.<\/p>\n<p>To access minSU, you must have a MitID.<\/p>\n<p>MitID is a digital signature that can be used from all computers and gives access to all public self-service solutions &#8211; including minSU &#8211; and to the online banks.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab gutter_size=&#8221;2&#8243; column_padding=&#8221;2&#8243; title=&#8221;Do I have to live in Denmark to get SU for a Danish education?&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1677927913-2-58&#8243;][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=&#8221;120732&#8243;]If you study at SAFD, you do not need to have an address in Denmark to get SU. For example, you can live in Sweden and at the same time get SU for SAFD&#8217;s education in Denmark.<\/p>\n<p>Your SU is paid to your <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nemkonto.dk\/Borger\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NemKonto<\/a>. Therefore, the account you want to receive your SU on must be registered as your NemKonto. Your bank can set up your NemKonto, or you can do it yourself at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nemkonto.dk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.nemkonto.dk<\/a>. If you want the money to be transferred to an account abroad, you can register your foreign account as your NemKonto at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nemkonto.dk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.nemkonto.dk<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>SU receives all Danish addresses from the National Register of Citizens. If you live abroad and are registered as an expatriate in CPR, you can change your address yourself in minSU. If not, you must notify the student administration at SAFD.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab gutter_size=&#8221;2&#8243; column_padding=&#8221;2&#8243; title=&#8221;How much can I earn in addition to my SU?&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1677928191291-2-8&#8243;][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=&#8221;140906&#8243;]There is a limit to how much you can earn in addition to your SU (your fribel\u00f8b). If you earn more than your free amount, you must pay back some of your SU and any SU loan. The size of your fribel\u00f8b is determined by how many months of SU you have received during a year. It also comes into play if you have had leave during the year, have received other public support or opted out of a few months of SU.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Fribel\u00f8b\" href=\"https:\/\/www.su.dk\/su\/su-betingelser\/saa-meget-maa-du-tjene-fribeloeb\/fribeloeb\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fribel\u00f8b<\/a><\/p>\n<p>You must be aware that your fribel\u00f8b is calculated for the period 1 January &#8211; 31 December in all years you have received SU (even if, for example, you have only received SU for one month). The tax year is the year your employer reports your feriepenge to the Tax Agency. It can be the year you earn them, but it can also be the year you get them paid out. Contact your employer to find out when your feriepenge has been reported to the Danish Tax Agency.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_accordion_tab][vc_accordion_tab gutter_size=&#8221;2&#8243; column_padding=&#8221;2&#8243; title=&#8221;Why don&apos;t I get my SU?&#8221; tab_id=&#8221;1677928379687-4-7&#8243;][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=&#8221;123989&#8243;]You must apply for SU to get it. The processing time for an application is usually two to four weeks. You can see in minSU under &#8216;Status for application&#8217; how far your application has come.<\/p>\n<p>You must have a NemKonto to receive SU and other public services.<\/p>\n<p>If you have applied for SU, and your application has been processed and the agency has your tax card, you must contact the student administration at SAFD for concrete guidance on why you do not receive your SU.<\/p>\n<p>If you have applied for an SU loan and have been granted the loan, you must approve your <a title=\"Approve your SU loan\" href=\"https:\/\/www.su.dk\/su-laan\/godkend-dit-su-laan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">loan plan<\/a> in minSU to have the loan disbursed. You therefore do not have to declare yourself if your residence status changes from living at home to living abroad or vice versa &#8211; or if you move from one of your parents to the other.
