Design Process

Consists of the design process, which includes design research, design methods, aesthetics, sustainability and industry and user needs based on sociological research methods and trend analysis.

What is a collection and how is it created? What influence does the political, social and cultural aspect have? Sustainability? Audience? These topics are processed at the same time as several sketched solution proposals with the possibility of different shape and material options are worked on. The focus is on the material in connection with design, manufacturing process, target group, sales promotion, branding etc.

Syllabus

During the course, the students must work with research, analysis, criticism, assessment, concept and goal setting. We are working with several sketched solution proposals with the possibility of different shapes, lines and material options. The focus is on the material in connection with construction, manufacturing process, etc. In the material-specific process, the sketching phase will often transition to the direct production of one or more products using form, material, drapery and construction trials.
