Experimentation - Scandinavian Academy of Fashion Design

Experimentation

Contains creative experiments where the students have to create showpieces based on an existing artist using recycled materials.

Syllabus

The student must analyze the chosen artist’s look and style via research. A handful of images and photos are selected to illustrate the artist’s current look. The student gives a visual account of his inspiration and style using photos and sketches, and then sketches of design ideas begin.

Throughout the course, the student must think alternatively, creatively and freely. The requirement for the task is the execution of a product created based on recycling. This must be done in the form of material selection such as newspapers, plastic bags, packaging etc.

There is targeted work where the student has to manage the time appropriately. The process must result in an outfit that must be presented physically and digitally.
