Syllabus
The students start from research and idea development. Process, photo registration, for experimentation on mannequin, color and material scheme, segment and sales presentation, sewing technical solutions, material selection and solutions, collection overview are reviewed.
During the course, the students must learn to observe options and solutions, and gain understanding and knowledge based on these choices. A detailed development of the chosen concept must be shown, which is eventually designed into a collection. The students must be able to explain and justify their concept and the choices made during the process.
At the end of the course, the students must present their completed portfolio.

The student
- Must have knowledge of essential parts of a professional portfolio, which includes creative research work, development of ideas, sewing samples and techniques, target group and market analysis as well as informative detail and working drawings.

- Must be able to process, convey and transform knowledge strategically, in writing, visually and orally.
- Must be able to analyze existing concepts and how these could be improved in relation to new trends within the fashion industry.
- Must be able to communicate professional issues and solution models to relevant partners and user groups.
- Must be able to acquire skills to observe opportunities and solutions, and gain understanding and knowledge from these choices, and from there prepare a portfolio for professional purposes.
