To ensure you have a good start to your studies, we have gathered some practical information that will be useful for you to know before your first day at SAFD. This information will help you navigate the first days and ensure you are well prepared.

The first day at SAFD is August 10, 2026. The address is Badstuestræde 1, 1209 Copenhagen and you will see a sign with our logo and a large gate when you are at the address. To enter through the gate, you must use the code 2245. Next, go into the courtyard and enter through the glass door. Then take the stairs or the elevator to the 3rd floor and enter through Entrance C. Continue until you reach the large room, where your instructor will be waiting for you.
Classes are from 9:00 to 14:30
(incl. ½ hour lunch break from 11:30 to 12:00).
Program for the week and semester plan will be handed out on the first day.

Apply for your digital student ID card by clicking the button below, and then select “Apply.” Once you have submitted the form, your digital student ID card will be created and will be available once your application has been processed. The digital student ID card contains your name, student ID number, and photo, which will be stored securely on SAFD’s servers. You will be able to show your student ID digitally using your student ID number.
By submitting this application, you agree that SAFD, as the data controller, may store and process your personal information in accordance with the school’s rules and data protection policy. This information is used solely to manage and verify your student ID card and to display your digital student ID card using your student ID number
Starting July 1, 2026, you can apply for SU.
You must apply for SU on the MIN SU website (www.su.dk/su/soeg-su-i-minsu/), and you must apply for SU starting August 1, 2026.
The standard SU grant will be paid out in late July or early August 2026, provided you apply in a timely manner according to SU’s processing dates. You cannot apply for this special stipend—the school’s academic administration will assign it to each of you individually.

Eligibility Requirements for SU
If you want to receive SU for your program at SAFD, you must meet a number of requirements.
There is no age limit for receiving SU for a private educational program. Are you looking for SU loanyou must be at least 18 years old.
Conditions when you get SU. When you are approved for SU, you must fulfill two additional conditions to keep your SU:
You can take out an SU loan once you have been approved for SU.
Interest accrues on your SU loan from the time you take it out until it is paid off in full, and you must repay the loan in the years following the completion of your education.
