The designer fills out an application form, which is reviewed and assessed by our team. After approval, the designer physically delivers their product to SAFD where it is stored and prepared for display.
The product will be exhibited both physically at SAFD, where potential buyers can see and try it, and digitally on futureoffashion.com. This ensures that the product reaches a wide audience, both locally and online.
When the product is sold, the designer receives 75% of the sales price after 14 days. This period allows for any returns or complaints to be handled before payment is released.

Future of Fashion is an online platform that gives students and graduates from the Scandinavian Academy of Fashion Design (SAFD) the opportunity to sell their unique creations directly to consumers. We support up-and-coming designers by offering them easy access to the market where we handle marketing, shipping and order processing.
As a student or graduate, you simply need to submit information about your items that you want to showcase/sell. Once your item is approved, Future of Fashion will handle the setup and marketing through its own channels and SAFD’s network. We also handle shipping and order management. For each order, a fee of 25% of the sales price is charged and you receive the rest.
To sell your creations via Future of Fashion, you must meet the following requirements:
Products must meet our quality standards for design, materials and production in order to be approved. We look especially at the product’s aesthetic and commercial potential, as well as its technical requirements, including high-resolution packshots and a professional product description.
Future of Fashion encourages designers to create products with sustainable materials and responsible production. We promote sustainable designers and offer marketing opportunities that highlight products with environmentally friendly and ethical manufacturing methods.
There is no set time limit on how long your product can be on the platform as long as it is stored on SAFD and not removed. If you want to remove it from the sales list, simply contact us so we can arrange a pickup and removal from the webshop.
You will receive payment via bank transfer within 10 days after the order is delivered to the customer. As a student, you also have the opportunity to use your disposable income to purchase materials from SAFD. This can be done at any time and the amount does not expire, so you have the freedom to plan your purchases.
When you sell an item, the price will be shown on futureoffashion.com in Euro. Your share payout will be converted to Danish Kroner via Shopify, so there might be an exchange fee. The payment is made in Danish kroner to your chosen bank account up to 10 days after the order has been delivered to the customer.
It’s important that you keep an eye on your disposable income to avoid SU deductions. Please also note that it is your responsibility to report your earnings to SKAT if you want to receive your share on sale. Read more about tax-free amounts in relation to SU here.
While your item is for sale on futureoffashion.com, it must be stored at SAFD. The seller has the option to display their items at any time, but they may not be removed from SAFD as long as they are available on the webshop, as they must be ready to be delivered if they are sold.
If items wish to be removed from SAFD and/or futureoffashion.com, this can be done by contacting info@futureoffashion.com.
To get items published on futureoffashion.com, the following steps must be reviewed and completed:
Should anything happen to the product while it is in SAFD’s custody, SAFD will be responsible for refunding the lost value to the seller. However, SAFD assumes no liability for force majeure, including, for example, fire or other unforeseen events beyond SAFD’s control.
Customers generally have the right to return goods within 7 days of receipt. However, please note that this right does not apply to Made to Order products or personalized products. Returns must be sent to SAFD’s address and the seller will be informed immediately when a return is completed. Any refunds will be processed upon receipt of the returned item.
We offer delivery to many global destinations. However, certain products cannot be delivered to selected regions due to delivery restrictions or contractual reasons. Any delivery costs and options will be calculated at checkout.
We aim to ship most orders within 1-2 working days of receipt. However, for personalized or Made to Order products there may be a longer delivery time.
If a customer complains about a product, we will contact you to discuss the situation. We follow the applicable consumer protection regulations and work with you to find an appropriate solution, either by repair, replacement or refund, depending on the circumstances.
When you, as a seller, submit images of your products, you give us permission to use these images for marketing purposes. This includes using the images on our social media channels, such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, as well as on our website and any newsletters.
The aim is to increase the visibility of your creations and reach a wider audience through our marketing channels so we can help you sell your designs. You will always be credited as the designer when we promote your products.
We encourage any kind of support with marketing. If each designer promotes the platform, together we can increase traffic and thus sales. While we can’t guarantee it, we do our best to share tagged stories and are particularly interested in highlighting designers who share excellent or unique marketing materials. We also encourage the Future of Fashion community to interact with each other digitally to drive more traffic to all designers and stores.

We often work with press and media to promote the platform and designers. When issuing press releases or participating in PR activities, we will consider the most market-relevant and unique products to highlight. Remember to keep your product images and descriptions updated and professional to increase the chance of media coverage.
