Jersey and Knit
Contains a basic understanding of jersey as a flexible and flexible material, as well as knowledge of design within upcycling and Zero Waste in knitting.
Syllabus
Starting from cut off and “end of rolls” jersey by the meter, from parent companies or textile manufacturers, the material is worked with and tests are carried out to gain knowledge of sewing in and treatment of stretch fabric. In addition, a research and materials portfolio must be prepared containing ideas from form/Zero Waste and from finish/upcycling off cuts workshops as well as mock-ups/sewing samples in different scales. The students must carry out a small collection of minimum 2 designs in the material jersey, thereby acquiring knowledge and experience that enables them to reduce the use of resources in the design process.
