Pressing technique and working method are demonstrated before sewing in the selected material. After this, the task ‘The Dress’ is introduced, which makes greater demands in terms of creativity, processing and history. We work with the basic form and gradation of it to personal goals.

Knitting is introduced, where the student must design three outfits for an artist of their choice. Emphasis is placed on techniques within the jersey product group, detail development, material and silhouette studies, design/idea/concept and sewing samples. Based on a presentation, the students must produce a piece of clothing that shows that the student has acquired the relevant skills in tailoring and sewing technical details. Outerwear is introduced and produced with an emphasis on functionality, material and design. The procedure is reviewed, both in terms of working methods and supervision, and the task must be carried out in a ready-made manner. In addition, the student is taught in pattern use and gets to know processes in the clothing industry. The finished stitched-up product and portfolio are evaluated by presentation and an internal or external censor. Oral and written evaluation is given for each project.
